What to Expect in Your First Week at The Beeline Campus
๐Ÿ“… March 2025โฑ 5 min readโœ Dr. Priyantha Wickramage

Your first class at The Beeline Campus is completely free โ€” no payment, no registration form, no commitment. Just show up. But we know the first step is always the hardest, so here is exactly what to expect.

Before You Arrive

There is genuinely nothing you need to prepare. You do not need to bring anything specific, purchase any materials, or fill in a form before your first class. The only things you need to know are which branch to attend and when classes are held.

  • Galle Branch โ€” New Thigma Institute of Higher Studies, No: 60, Eliot Road, Galle. Saturday, Sunday & Wednesday, 9:00 AM โ€“ 4:00 PM.
  • Matara Branch โ€” Sipyana Higher Educational Institute, Ela Wella Road, Matara. Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM โ€“ 4:00 PM.

If you want to confirm before coming, simply send us a WhatsApp message on 077 340 3878. We reply quickly.

When You Walk In

Tell the coordinator at the entrance that you are here for your free first class. They will show you where to sit. No paperwork, no fees, no forms to fill โ€” you are a Beeline student from the moment you walk through the door.

What Happens in the First Class

Dr. Priyantha Wickramage will introduce the course, the teaching approach, and what you will achieve across the three modules. You will not be tested or asked to demonstrate your current English level. The first class is about understanding the journey ahead โ€” and deciding whether this is the right place for you.

I was terrified on my first day. I thought everyone would speak better than me. But Dr. Wickramage made it clear from the very first minute that this is a place where you come to learn โ€” and nobody is expected to already know.โ€” Former student, Galle Branch, Batch 2023

About the Teaching Approach

Dr. Wickramage does not teach English through textbook exercises alone. The emphasis is on spoken English from the very first module โ€” real conversations, real scenarios, real confidence built gradually. Students who have never spoken a complete English sentence will be gently but consistently encouraged to speak, practise, and eventually present.

The three modules in brief

Module 1 covers pronunciation, grammar foundations, everyday vocabulary, and basic spoken English. Module 2 moves into advanced grammar, essay writing, business communication, and spoken fluency. Module 3 โ€” the graduation module โ€” focuses on oral presentations, report writing, career English, and the final examination.

The Pay-After-You-Pass System

Your first week is free. After that, if you choose to continue, the first instalment of LKR 15,000 is charged โ€” but only after you pass the Module 1 examination. The same applies to Modules 2 and 3. You never pay for a stage you have not yet completed. The risk of joining is genuinely zero.

A Few Practical Tips for Your First Day

  • Arrive a few minutes before 9:00 AM to find the classroom and settle in calmly.
  • Bring a notebook and pen โ€” Dr. Wickramage moves at a pace that rewards active note-takers.
  • Do not worry about your current level. Every student starts from where they are.
  • Feel free to ask questions โ€” in Sinhala if needed. The goal is understanding, not performance.
  • After your free week, if you decide to continue, you will be given information on the first payment and next steps.

We look forward to seeing you in class. If you have any questions, we are always available on WhatsApp.
